what is life. what's it contain. what's it consist of. what's it made of. is it answerable. shall i make a toast?
take this home and chew on it.
God has us hanging by a thread. there are consequences to what we do. if we love God - how are we supposed to live? keep his commandments... ok - quit bein so legalistic - you say? i'm not saying keep his commandments... God is saying keep his commandments if you love him. then what commandments? the 10 commandments? sure. why not? they're all morally right anyways - you gonna go commit adultery - or is a revelation of the seventh command and pierced hands got ahold of you?
why did Jesus die on the cross? because of us. we lied. stole. murdered/hated. adultered/lusted. disobeyed our folks. put things before God. all that deal. all that put Christ on the cross. He didn't have to go though.
but he loves us so much - so much so that he wants us to change - so he came to earth and died on the cross and rose from the grave, defeating death.
you'd be inviting death if you rejected Christ.
