life is as short as eternity - measure it yourself

life is short?
where do we get that from?
we think life is short only because we don't know when we're going to die?
or what is it?

you work - and even if you love your job - most people can't wait till the work day is over. i know i can't wait.
we often say "oh i can't wait till ____!"
some can't wait till christmas time. or easter. their birthday. friends birthday.
some can't wait till they're married - to grow old with someone they love.
some can't wait to go and be with the Lord even.

in all honesty - we want life to go by fast. want things to come to us faster than it is.

why then - when we turn a certain age or get to a certain point in our lives - do we say that life is short?

if you live till you're 80... that's a pretty long time.
if you live to an age where you havn't had the chance to get out in the world and live the way you do on your own... then can say that person had a short life. for them - life's short.
yeah it seems it's gone by fast sometimes.

but in the end. if life seems short. deal with it. you're how old now and i pray a child of God?
live something fancy until you go and be with our wonderous Lord.
