it makes sense

well - havn't posted in about a week.
'bout time to do some don't ya think?

here's the deal.
i got the chance to come down to the coast close to christmas.
i believe that was last thursday.
yeah - you guessed it - i saw that opportunity - and took it.

strange. i know. well - for one reason - that i don't like the coast at all.
specially at this time of year - rain, rain, rain - and kamloops has snow.
go figure.
but - it's been quite the thrill of a ride since =P

-------------------

but that is not the topic of today.
i should be sleeping - but i'll finish this little deal and be on my way.

check it - The Decemberists.
brand new music to my ears.
don't know if any of you have heard this band or not.
but i do suggest. encourage. and wish it on you.
haha.

guess you could say it's like a mix of nova scotian and irish perhaps? to me anyways.
according to wiki:
The band's songs range from upbeat pop to instrumentally lush ballads
maybe i'm wrong.
i'll let their music speak for itself.
this video. the following one. the only one in this post.
yeah - that one. haha.
mmm. it's a little morbid.
the one part is:
find him, bind him
tie him to a pole
and break his fingers to splinters
drag him to a hole
until he wakes up naked
clawing at the ceiling of his grave
the whole song is a story.
a story about a mom and her kid - some guy comes along and screws their life up - the mom goes crazy and dies (the above are her last words to her son) - and the son goes on living a life of finding revenge.

mainly. i love the musical end of it.
a twelve string guitar.
stand up bass.
violin.
mandolin.
accordian.
percussion (though not much of it).
and in this video - falling percussion instruments i believe. good effect on the song. haha.
(i may be wrong on some instruments - could be a viola)

i love story songs.
and this one - has been in my head for a week now.
enjoy:
